John 3:16 - This Is How God Loved the World
16. For this is how God loved the world:
He gave His one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him
won't perish but have eternal life.
17. God sent His Son into the world
not to judge the world,
but to save the world through Him.
18. There is no judgment against anyone
who believes in Him.
19. God’s light came into the world,
but people loved the darkness more than the light.
20. [And] all who do evil hate the light
and refuse to go near it

Today is our three-year anniversary as Project of Love: the Bible in song!
Believe it or not, I didn't plan John 3:16 for today. In fact, if Jan hadn't told me, I would have missed our 3-year anniversary :)
I plan all my songs weeks ahead with the Holy Spirit. He's very specific that way.
But it seems very fitting that today, of all days, we release John 3:16. It's the ultimate love song.
We all know God is love. It says so in 1 John 4:16.
I didn't realize what was happening yet when, on January 19, 2021, while reading the book of Isaiah, I heard His voice say, "Grab your guitar and sing what you're reading."
Just 3 months later, I had a dream in which Jesus explained to me, "This is our Project of Love, together we will show the heart of the Father to the world."
Project of Love: the Bible in song was born.
Now, think about that for a minute.
What Jesus said to me in that dream is basically John 3:16.
Do we know what 'the heart of the Father' is? Yes, we do; it's Jesus. Jesus is the perfect representation of God's heart.
That's why Jesus said, "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father." You now know His heart.
Jesus, the Word of God.
The things Jesus had to accomplish were so He could restore us and reconcile us to the Father. It's His ultimate Project of Love. Or Project of God, since God is love ;)
To whom did Jesus ask me to show the heart of the Father? To the world.
"This is how God loved the world..."
He loved us so much, He gave us Jesus; He gave His heart to the world.
He went all in. Gave His heart to you, to me.
When someone loves you that much, how can you not give your heart to Him?
Make a decision today that your life is going to be a Project of Love. A Project of God. If you haven't done so already, ask Jesus to live inside of you. Then you'll literally have the heart of God beating inside of you.
Now, show it to the world! ❤️
